Cougars of the Desert

The Cougars of the Desert invite you to join us for a one-day extravaganza featuring the annual Cougar Desert Golf Classic followed by the Wine and Cheese Social with special guest, WSU Regent Enrique Cerna, on Monday, February 26, 2024 at
Palm Valley Country Club, 39205 Palm Valley Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92211.
Make plans to attend one or both of our events. We are offering an 18-hole golf tournament on a spectacularly designed championship golf course for our golf enthusiasts. Topping off the day is a wine and cheese social for all Cougs. The Social will feature special guest
WSU Regent Enrique Cerna, hearty appetizers including Cougar cheeses, golf prizes, silent and live auctions including Cougar-connected wines, golf packages, and Cougar gear/swag, and Raise the Paddle. It will also include an opportunity to learn about and hear from Cougars of the Desert Scholarship students from prerecorded videos.
The proceeds from these events support student scholarships. In addition to benefiting a wonderful cause, it will also be an excellent opportunity for us to reconnect with one another.
Cost
- The Cougar Desert Golf Classic registration fee is $175 per golfer. Includes 18-hole golf tournament followed by the Wine and Cheese Social and a commemorative Cougars of the Desert hat or visor.
- The Wine and Cheese Social is $60 per person.
Golf Dress Code
Palm Valley Country Club's golf dress code is shirts with collars and tailored mid-length shorts. Denim or jean material of any type is not permitted. Soft spikes only.
Refund Policy
Refunds will be given for cancellations before Monday, February 1. Please contact parrishc@wsu.edu if you are unable to attend.
After this date, no refunds will be given for cancellations. However, please contact parrishc@wsu.edu for details on transferring your registration fee to a direct donation to the scholarship. No-shows to the Cougars of the Desert events will not receive a donation credit.

Dollars for Scholars- Scholarship Donations
The Cougars of the Desert planning committee is grateful for the generous donations made to the Cougars of the Desert Scholarship Fund. You can donate to the Scholarship Fund through the event registration process or during the event. Please know that you don't have to attend the event to donate.
