Washington State University Alumni Association Checking, Savings, CDs, and Money Market Accounts

Introducing the new Washington State Alumni Association Deposit Program issued by Bank of America

A solid savings and investment plan is founded on the principles of diversity, security, and performance. WSUAA is pleased to provide checking, savings, CD's and Money Market savings accounts through Bank of America.

WSUAA checking and savings accounts offer Bank of America's free Online Banking service with unlimited Bill Pay and access to the Keep the Change service, for automatic savings. When you enroll in Keep the Change, each purchase made with your Bank of America Visa Check Card will be rounded to the nearest dollar and the difference transferred from your checking account into your Bank of America savings account. Bank of America will match your Keep the Change savings at 100% for the first three months and 15% (triple the typical match rate after the first three months) thereafter; up to a maximum total of $250 per year paid annually. You get to Keep the Change and grow your savings.

Keep the Change is available to both new and existing customers. Upon enrollment, we will round up your Visa Check Card purchases to the nearest dollar and transfer the difference from your checking account into your Bank of America savings account. Keep the Change savings from WSUAA Check Cards are matched at 100% for the first three months and 15% thereafter (triple the usual 5% match). Matching funds are paid yearly after the anniversary of enrollment up to a maximum of $250 per year on accounts still open and enrolled. Eligible savings accounts include, but are not limited to, Regular Savings
(or Market Rate Savings in WA and ID) that requires a minimum opening balance of $100 ($1 in WA and ID) and pays a variable Annual Percentage Yield (APY) that was 0.20% as of 02/22/2008. To be a cardholder of the NEW Alaska Airlines Cougar Signature Visa card (or any other Bank of America products) you will need to apply online, or call 1-800-932-2775.

I already have an Alaska Airlines credit card. Will my Alaska Mileage Plan miles transfer over to the new account?

Yes, when you apply for your NEW Alaska Airlines Cougar Signature Visa card, simply include your current Alaska Airlines Mileage plan number and you’ll begin to earn miles that will be applied to your current account.

Will I receive bonus miles for opening a NEW Alaska Airlines Cougar Signature Visa card credit card account?

Yes, the Alaska Airlines Mileage plan has been extremely generous during the launch of this program.  Whether you are currently enrolled in the Alaska Airlines Mileage plan, or opening a new account.  All Cougars and friends of WSU who are approved for the Alaska Airlines Cougar Signature Visa card will receive up to 10,000 bonus miles.  Click here to review the Miles Award chart.
