April 13, 2007 Question:   In what year was recent College Baseball Hall of Fame inductee John Olerud named to the WSU Athletic Hall of Fame?

Answer to the March 30, 2007 Question:  Name Washington State University's first female Regent.  Frances Penrose Owen served on WSU's Board of Regents from 1957 to 1975.  Owen Science and Engineering Library is named in her honor.

Art and Context

Prior to the 1960s, art objects were viewed as wholly distinct from non-art. Art and Context examines how these pieces, and others like them, relate to a society bombarded by advertising while also in the midst of a cultural revolution-as evidenced by the growing acceptance of civil rights, feminism, drug use, and sexual freedom-and offers a solid basis for understanding art in the past half century.
